Each applicant to Holy Family Nursing & Midwifery Techiman is considered with great care. We hope you will explore the information in this section to understand what we look for in our admissions process. Early Action applicants apply by the November 1, deadline and hear from us by mid-December. If you apply to Family Nursing & Midwifery Techiman under our Early Action program, you may also apply at the same time to any public college/university or to foreign universities but you are restricted from applying to other private universities’ Early Action and Early Decision programs. You may apply under our Regular Decision program until January 1.
Academic Calendar
The College offers three (3) Programmes as indicated below.
1. Registered General Nursing (RGN)
– Three-Year Diploma
– Both males and females
2. Registered Midwifery (RM)
– Three-Year Diploma
– Females Only
3. Post NAC/NAP Midwifery (PNNM)
– Two-Year Midwifery Programme
– Nurse Assistant Clinicians, and Nurse Assistants Preventive cadres only.
Entry Requirements for Admission for RGN and RM
• WASSCE
• Age 16 – 35 years
• Service Personnel
• An aggregate score of Thirty-Six (36) or better in WASSCE.
• Core Subjects and Minimum Credits (A1 – C6) in three Core Subjects
English Language
Mathematics
Integrated Science
Programmes or Elective Subjects
General Science
Home Economics
General Arts
Requirements for International Applicants
Ministry of Health training institutions in Ghana are open to all applicants from other countries, and they receive the same training as their Ghanaian colleagues without any kind of prejudice. The following are the guidelines for foreign applicants interested in applying for Ghana MOH admissions 2019/2020 academic year.
International students may be accepted for MOH admissions Ghana basing on their home country qualification where the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) shall equate with respect to the agreed entry requirements in Ghana. The council establishes examination results validity, determines equivalence and interprets the examination results from the various countries of WAEC.
While foreign students will benefit from most training services, they will not be allowed to enjoy the scholarship from the government of Ghana.
Applicants from Non-English speaking countries must prove their proficiency in English.
Admissions are online and the codes are available at all branches of GCB Banks and Agriculture Development Bank nationwide at the cost of One Hundred Ghana Cedis (GH100.00). After buying the application codes, the candidates receive a voucher with a unique PIN, and they should have an active e-mail address and phone number. The PIN allows them to access the form on the Health Training Portal; (https://apply.healthtraining.gov.gh).
